I am not that great with fantasy football, but I will give this a shot. This is the last week of the beta version of this site that will go live next week. The site was started by Chris Moneymaker and Matt Stout among a few other poker players.

 

Instead of spending big money on advertising, they are using the word of mouth approach for a while. They are offering a $30,000 free roll this weekend and paying out 750 places in all. Last week only about 2000 people played in the initial free roll.

 

 

As a BONUS, anyone who signs up under my friends invitation will be invited for a referral only free roll. He cant afford to give out $30,000, but his free roll will be for around $1000 or so for maybe 40-60 players. Not bad odds. Here is the link to sign up for this weekend.

It is cash to be used to enter all of the other contests. Like if you win $200, then you can enter a $25 fantasy daily and the entry fee comes out of the cash. But any cash won from those can immediately be withdrawn. Or you could actually have some head to head competitions and get paid if you win

Having said that, I KNOW that you see the value here in getting in on the bottom floor to be ready when the site goes live next week. They are advertising at the WSOP final table this week quite a bit

I remember 3 years ago when someone tried to get me to buy bitcoins. At the time I had quite a bit of money that I could have spent. Well I didn't do it. Then about 18 months ago there was a story on 60 Minutes all about bitcoins. They were talking about the craze, but the funny thing is that they were not worth a huge amount of money at that time.

 

It wasn't until a few weeks after that story did they increase a lot in value. Well I didn't buy into them at that point either. Now they are really too expensive to buy as an investment, but that at time it didn't cost much.

 

 

Well I fucked up back then, but I am not letting it happen again. I mean this wont be that much money per year. I may get $30,000-40,000 a year from this. Not even sure that is even worth the hassle, but the site has huge potential. They are getting a lot of publicity this week at the final table for the WSOP which starts tomorrow. And we are really trying to be a good site when basketball season gets rolling when football is done.

 

 

And I will probably just send all of that money to sportsbooks like 5dimes.

I would be wary of with these pop up daily fantasy sites and stick with the big boys for now. Anyone can start them because it does not require much bankroll to start....a scammers dream. Not saying thats what this is but with the huge surge in popularity one should expect a wave of hit n run daily fantasy shops.

Fair enough, but you will see this one next season as well as EVERYDAY during the NBA season. So far most of the members will offer their own tournaments each week for small buyins under $100 I think.

 

 

A few of the other big players will have some heads up matches for $500 or so. But those will be against other members who are just friends probably. The site will have a leaderboard of players in some fashion. But that hasn't been decided up yet since some guys may not want to be ranked. (IE, you might not want others to know that you kick ass at fantasy football) And I might not want everyone to know that I suck

Well the site isn't live just yet, but it could even be better in its current format. I will post the email that I received yesterday. But today they had TONS of overlays in the guarantee tournaments. For instance, in 2 $10 tournaments that guaranteed $1000 only had 55 players. Nice overlay for paying 25 places.

 

 

Also, in 2 weeks they will have a $400,000 guaranteed tournament with a "guaranteed overlay. " They have Drew Brees endorsement as well as Jordy Nelson. Both of those guys play each week too,.

Well I spent about $150 yesterday and it looks like I will make a small profit. I really could use Pierre Thomas to get a TD before the game is over though!
