FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — An undocumented immigrant from El Salvador suspected of sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl in Fullerton was on the run Wednesday, police said.

Rigoberto Arevalo Cubias, 30, was identified as a suspect in what Fullerton police say was a “possible sexual assault” after officers responded to an “out of area” hospital back on Dec. 21.

Investigators later said Cubias – who is undocumented may be in possession of a fraudulent California driver’s license – was suspected of engaging in sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child under the age of 10 years old.

Cubias has an outstanding $50,000 arrest warrant for a DUI from 2014 under the name “Jose Cubias” and police say he uses multiple aliases, including Jose Cubias, Jose Cubias Arevalo, Jose Riberto Cubias, and Jose Alfonso Cubias Arevalo.

Detectives say they believe that Cubias now knows he is wanted by police and is on the run from law enforcement. Cubias is believed to have ditched his car and cell phone in an attempt to elude authorities, according to police.

He’s described as a male Hispanic, approximately 5’7”, 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Cubias is asked to call Fullerton PD Detective Carin Wright at (714) 738-6754 or anonymously call Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1(855) TIP-OCCS. They may also visit the OC Crime Stoppers website.

12-year-old boy demands chicken nugget at gunpoint, classmate refuses

HARLEM, Manhattan — A 12-year-old boy allegedly pulled a gun on a classmate and demanded she give him a chicken nugget earlier this week, NYPD officials said.

It was his second attempt to get a chicken nugget from the girl, police said. The boy noticed the girl buy chicken McNuggets at a Lexington Avenue and East 103rd Street McDonald’s on Tuesday. He asked her for a McNugget and she refused.

The boy allegedly followed the girl into the 103rd St. No. 6-train station, pointed a gun at her head and demanded a McNugget again, police said. The girl smacked the gun away from her head and told the boy to leave her alone.

She boarded the train unharmed, police said. The girl later saw the boy showing the gun to another child on the train.

Police took the boy into custody on Wednesday after the girl reported the incident to school officials.

HOUSTON (AP) -- Former President George H.W. Bush was admitted to an intensive care unit on Wednesday, and his wife, Barbara, was hospitalized as a precaution, according to his spokesman.

The 92-year-old former president was admitted to the ICU at Houston Methodist Hospital to "address an acute respiratory problem stemming from pneumonia," family spokesman Jim McGrath said in a statement. McGrath said the former first lady was hospitalized as a precaution after experiencing fatigue and coughing.

"Doctors performed a procedure to protect and clear his airway that required sedation. President Bush is stable and resting comfortable in the ICU, where he will remain for observation," McGrath said in the statement.

McGrath later told The Associated Press that doctors were happy with how the procedure went. The 41st president was admitted to the hospital on Saturday for shortness of breath.

"So it's just, how does his body respond. I don't think there's a whole lot of money to be gained betting against George Bush. We're just kind of in a wait and see mode," he said.

McGrath said Barbara Bush, who is 91, hasn't been feeling well in the last couple weeks, "and it finally just got to the point this morning where she said she wanted to take it out of committee and have the experts check it out." McGrath said the move was precautionary.

Bush's chief of staff, Jean Becker, told the Houston Chronicle and KHOU-TV that Bush was expected to go home in a couple of days.

Bush, who served as U.S. president from 1989 to 1993, has a form of Parkinson's disease and uses a motorized scooter or a wheelchair for mobility
