Sol Aristatel
money is a dumb thing to regret i have yet to meet a person that is happier with 10 million than they were with 10,000 all it creates is stress and irritation Money only helps those that don't care about material things. It buys them freedom. That's priceless.

barman
Lotta pots fish Lotta pots. Keep figuring one will pay off Someday.....Quit pretending those payoffs are in the future. If you honestly tried to inventory the already realized true payoffs of all your dealings, you would be writing non stop for months
barman
if you don't care about material things then what freedom can money buy you? Sufficient money provides only one true benefit and that is it relieves you from spending any more time creating money. Creating money is likely the most time consuming activity for most people who live in a capitalistic society

I meant material things that would be above and beyond living your normal means. Not basic necessities like food/shelter, etc. Tons of money would by you freedom from ever having to answer to anyone again. Thats why I would enjoy it. barman
LOL. Dullard.fwiw, see my own post further back Regret is certainly a very normal human emotion. Nonetheless it is highly irrational and serves no useful purpose that cannot be more easily realized by maintaining one's focus on the Present moment I had been told that by numerous teachers during my first 50 some years, but once I really bought in the feeling of liberation is awesome
barman
One of business mentors puts it well. "Why do we work for money?" "So we can accumulate enough that we no longer have to work for money" Doesn't neccesarily mean we stop working, or building or serving, but it does mean that further money payoffs are wholly secondary
