tripp
Whats the metric or who's the decider? There have been people already in recent years that have argued they arent the best (not saying i agree just pointing out some already do argue that point) and there are plenty on the forums that could see the SEC go 4-7 in bowl games and still argue they are the best by a mile

FISHHEAD
Wow!! 28 pt dog South Alabama has upset MISS STATE !!!!!!! WVU once again showing signs of genius.
Mofome
When the other teams recruit with the sec, they'll be as good. It's not much deeper than that. Today the talent gap is enormous. I would like to see other schools recruit better.

tripp
Not a good start for the SEC Vols look like crap and need OT to squeak out a home W vs App St and then Miss St loses as massive favs vs So Ala Now if either LSU or Bama lose it will officially be a disaster week 1 for the sec

Cee
Depends on how many teams have App St on their schedule. They look like a sleeper this year
FairWarning
It'll be another 30 years before another $EC team ventures north of Kentucky for a game.

Mofome
Sec envy is strong. One day another conference will have as many draft picks, one day they may recruit semi-close to the sec. I hope it changes. Mich st and wake put on shows. Cee gets hype when one year the ACC has more first round picks, it's an odd measure but you have to find obscure things to make a case, particularly for the ACC or big ten. I believe Tennessee has played strong big ten teams in their last two bowls. Tough games.
FairWarning
Only if Ohio state buys out of games vs the secForgot, UGA playing in ND next year. Bottom line, when the conditions are not ideal for $EC teams, they struggle like anyone else. It has little to do with 4 and 5-star players

So at least we are equal there bud

Bfo
The best teams have the best recruiting classes, it has everything to do with recruiting.True, but recruiting rankings in themselves don't mean so much. You never really know how good the players are until they get on the field.
Viejo Dinosaur
The SEC is always there at the end.... Just count the number of players from the SEC that turn pro...
