Sol Aristatel
The whole stash? No. But I have sold some back to the place where I buy. They give spot price when they buy back. So not too bad of a deal.

Sol Aristatel
Depending on the climate, Im not sure if they do spot 100% of the time. But Ive always been given spot or darn close to it.
ted sheckler
Guy gave spot for American Eagles. Most I sold was 50 at a time to him. Would give me cash and I always called before coming in. Coin Shop.
Sol Aristatel
On the website they are offering to by American Eagles at $1267 right now. Gold is at $1268. So it looks like they are still offering spot. At least for gold.

FISHHEAD
Two of my "locals" accept payment via precious metals......I can also choose to be paid the same way. We use SPOT price both ways
mikeman
How did you unload them? Ebay? Pawn shop? If silver is trading at $18 how much will a pawn shop give you for basic silver bullion?Pawn shops will rip you off, reputable coin dealers(local or online) will pay you almost spot, the spread between buy and sell will be very small, perhaps sell at $19, buy at $18. ted sheckler
silver American Eagles should get more than spot. Last few times just got spot. Other places offered lower or said they weren't buying now. What places are you selling that you're getting more than spot?
mikeman
The spread on silver is far higher than gold by the way, the spread on gold may be only $20(less than 2%), silver is more like 6%. If you are looking to trade the markets, gold is the way to go.
FISHHEAD
Selling on here easily done, in fact, I do this with RMI.......and if anyone else is ever in town and would like to BUY/SELL silver, gold, or platinum at spot and I'm willing, will meet and we can do business

mikeman
This weekend I am going to take some silver pieces to 3 different pawn shops and compare the offers. I will report back. Why? They're going to offer you 50-60% what they're worth, you know that, so why do it?
mikeman
By the way, in your opening post you did act like a moron..."duh. how can I sell my silver, does a pawn shop give you top dollar"?, Now you're making us offers to buy at spot.
FISHHEAD
RMI will probably buy any amount up to 100k at spot, more likely with platinum than gold/silver.
ted sheckler
Why? They're going to offer you 50-60% what they're worth, you know that, so why do it? Exactly. Sounds like everyone else is saying CALL your coin shop and they'll tell you the price they will buy it right on the phone. As long as you live in a populated are, there will probably be a few stores within 20 miles. Before you think about saying you're going to go to the "we buy gold" stores...save yourself the time. Hopefully FISHEAD chimes in a few more times. Will help people forget how big of an idiot WVU looks like in this thread.
