$42 million for a steak dinner?  Sounds like a theme developing here.

Paul Kusznirewicz thought he was a multi-millionaire for five wonderful minutes when he played the Buccaneer slot machine – Jackpot! At the Georgian Downs Casino in Innisfil, Ontario. He spun the reels and the machine’s lights and whistles announced that he had won $42.9 million. But when a casino employee supervisor arrived, along with mechanics and security personnel, they burst his bubble, saying “We can’t pay you that money because that machine is broken.” Kusznirewicz was offered coupons for the casino’s dinner buffet

Seems that legally her best option was to cash in the two bucks and enjoy the dinner.

Now, she could come out ahead if the casino wants to pay her off to go away - but, the leach of an attorney will probably be too greedy to be able to make a deal.

max payout on the machine was $6500 so no way in heck did she think she actually won 42 million

total malfunction... not sure why she thinks she's entitled to the 6500 when the reels never gave a paying combination

Why wouldn't the casino just pay her the $6,500?  Its a drop in the bucket for them.

Grocery stores give food away at no cost if/when their UPC scanners post a higher than advertised or set price for an item.

Would be nice if casino's take a hit every so often.

If a gambling patron does not have a winning combo on a video screen and say the machine credits for a win and after having

the machine print a cash out ticket ( if under the maximum without any employee verification ) and you go to cash it,  it wouldn't

surprise me if the law could / would come after you for cashing or attempting to cash it.

What about if you stumble upon an unoccupied machine that has credit in it and you try to cash out from it?

What would become of the vulture if it's later detected ?
