KingRevolver
What's the worst restaurant in Vegas you've ever been to, Doobie?
GreenDoberman
hmm good question. off the top of my head I'd say Dupars. Both at Suncoast and the Golden Gate (that location is closed now). I actually sent a salad back there. Others I'm thinking of:The Arizona Charlie's buffetThe Mixx (probably the only other time i sent something back)- it closed within 6 months of opening. I'll try and think of more. GreenDoberman
Oh,Mi Casa was pretty bad. When you fuck up chips and salsa, that's a death knell to me.
GreenDoberman
For a top 50 restaurant (by critics), I thought Chada Street was god-awful.again, it closed within a year too so I think my opinion may have been right. Good Pie was amazingly bad too for a place all the critics tout.
GreenDoberman
Eastside Cannery buffet was pretty horrific too, as was the Silverton's. Red Rock has gone through a lot of restaurants as well and all of them are overpriced and below average. The exception is the steakhouse, T-Bones
MonkeyF0cker
The most overrated restaurant on the strip has to be Carbone. I've given that place so many chances and it's just subpar in every aspect. Red Rock has Lucille's which isn't terrible for a chain. Their biscuits and apple butter are pretty damn good. GreenDoberman
Just about any barbecue restaurant out here is pure shit.Haven't found one worth a damn.

I got to the original, and only location, in Chicago all the time. About as good a Chicago dog as you can get.
GreenDoberman
The most overrated bar is the Golden Tiki. They hype that place to the nth degree and every time I've gone it's been absolute shit.Frankie's shits on it, imo. And if I am player dollar VP and want a pina colada, I really don't think I should have to pay for that anywhere.
GreenDoberman
Yeah the one at Red Rock lasted maybe six months. Was pure dogshit the one and only time I went.
Brock Landers
GD, you may know I love RUTH'S CHRIS, we to the one at Harrah's last summer and my jaw dropped, everything was like 20+ buc higher than any other Ruth's Chris. Sickening. LAWRY'S is always excellent, over on Howard Hughes
GreenDoberman
You've never mentioned Ruth Chris or the Oyster Bar.How are we to know? My favorite restaurant on Flamingo used to be McCormick and Schmick's. They got bought out and fucked it up and now it's close.Yardhouse isn't the same since Olive Garden and Red Lobster (Darden) bought it either. KingRevolver
Oh,Mi Casa was pretty bad. When you fuck up chips and salsa, that's a death knell to me.Hahahaha. Yeah, I've heard so-so reviews from people, but I can honestly say I haven't had something there I hated. But I've only had like four different things there. GreenDoberman
Suprisingly, there's not many very good Mexican restaurants in town. It's gotten better than it used to be but most are still pretty mediocre.
GreenDoberman
Pete Rose's restaurant behind Rick and Reilly's was pretty bad too. I didn't go but a guy from Cincinnati went and said it was epically awful. Don't think it even lasted 6 months.

GreenDoberman
Have they banned plastic straws in Vegas yet? just saw an article on it the other day in the local rag. I believe MGM announced they were at their properties. You had to request one.
GreenDoberman
tacos El gordo is fantastic, about as good as tacos get. lindo michoacan and juan's flaming fajitas we're very decent I thought Juan's was just ok. Was more quantity over quality for me. I think Lindo Michoacan has caught on fire like 20 times. Seems every time I want to go, it burns down. I like Juan’s a lot, food isn’t the greatest but the portions are huge and the atmosphere is good. Owner seems like a decent guy, they are getting ready to build a new place in Henderson soon. MonkeyF0cker
I'm a fan of Doña Maria's, Casa Don Juan, and Ricardo's for Mexican food in Vegas. There's a Lindo close to me on Horizon Ridge and it has an amazing view of the valley. Never been all that impressed with any of the ones I've been to though. It's decent but not outstanding.
