Still working my way through Asiatown.  Finally had a couple swing and misses in the past week.

Mian Taste is a far inferior cousin to Chengdu Taste.  For all the hype it was disturbingly numb and not spicy in a good way and the service was mediocre at best.  Will not be going back.  A generous two-stars.

Settle on Niu-Gu Noodle House yesterday since lots of other places were closed.  Probably ordered the wrong thing, but the garlic chicken was dry and atrocious.  Didn't help they were out of a signature appetizer and I had to settle for dumplings that weren't cooked right.  Again, two stars at best, and that is being generous.

Did go to the new Flock and Fowl Downtown Saturday.  Now there is a place that knows how to cook chicken.  Both the chicken sandwich and the angry wings were on point.  Think this place is a winner and the owners are two of the nicest people you will ever meet.

A couple years back Fish took me to some Spanish restaurant/bar that had some video poker. He told me to sit down at a specific machine. Won $300. :hat

Homeless hustlers do that same thing all the time in Vegas. Tell you a machine is "hot", "loose", "due", etc. Then if you hit, they want a piece of it. Of course, none of that is actually true. They just play a numbers game and hope people are gullible.

Winning $300 in a short session of VP doesn't mean much of anything. What matters is how much you've lost when you finally hit the royal.

.............back in the Stardust days, there were guys that would do this daily with tourists in the racebook.

On Toro's, is that place still open??.......not been in there for over 3 years.

I had a hustler try to steer me to a Golden Egypt machine at Red Rock a couple weeks ago. Felt a little bad as I used to see him betting in the book frequently, now apparently doing bonus hustles only.

  • 3 weeks later...

Been to two of their locations a few times over the many years

.............wife works part-time near the OX on West Sahara and visits that location semi-regularly

As a Packer fan, not overly fond of the place, lol...........decent grub at times if you get lucky.

Poster Kyhawk, a Viking fan, was a regular back in the day.

They used to have a play $20 get $20 once a week on their app,,,,,that's probably long gone.

Cool. Thanks, FH. Looks like it would be good during a Viking game. I love all these owners on these shows. They know the show is coming in, yet they don’t clean the kitchen and they serve the guy frozen food. It’s like they’ve never watched any of these things.

Yes, if you're a Vikings fan, this is a great spot for you................I know they used to have at least three locations, the one on Sahara, one near The Orleans Casino, and one in east Las Vegas, the one on the east side was my favorite, if that one is still there, will pop in and do a video for you as get near that area often in my travels.

I’m with Deemer on this one....especially if no kids at home.

no problem with working, and no problem with people having different opinions on the subject

i just think it is weird that someone would work for money that they don't need, when there are plenty of volunteer positions available that would do a lot of good

many think fishhead overstates his income, but i know he's making more than they spend and he has plenty of assets

deemer will think it's great when his wife is beholden to another man, i don't, no crime in either opinion

For someone who gets angry when attacked, you are jumping to conclusions. If you want to marry someone who is submissive that’s entirely your choice. Not something I’m attracted to. Not to mention in today’s day and age, women are much more powerful socially and in the workforce than in the 1970s
