Everything there is depressing and trashy, even the grocery stores. Fish loves it because when he walks around, all he sees is dollar signs. Dollar signs on VP machines, casino hostesses, the walls of sportsbooks, ...He is a kid in a candy store. And good for him. But if you're not there grinding, and have better/other ways to make a living, it's a sad place to be. And my god the fucking lineups. Lineups everywhere you go. To get a drink, especially, and you even have to wait to gamble sometimes, amazingly enough. Perhaps the ONLY place in Vegas you almost never have to wait in line is to PISS. Go figure. Certain parts of the city very depressing though. Fremont St is getting worse and worse with the homeless and beggars. Boulder Hwy is scary. The garbage (dressed up clowns and beggars) on the Strip outside of the casinos needs to be cleaned up too. The extent of the commercialization on the strip and all the other BullShit is nauseating. I couldn't imagine living in Vegas and working on the strip and having to deal with that every day.
