NBC now says to wear a mask in the shower.  :laugh

And they wonder why they have no credibility?

NBC News reported on a guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for Americans to wear masks and to practice social distancing in gyms. The CDC highlighted a study of a gym in Chicago last summer. The study focused on 81 people who exercised at the gym facility. The study found COVID-19 cases were identified in 68% of the gym attendees.

The NBC News article provides tips on exercising at the gym during the COVID-19 pandemic, including exercising at home or outdoors, disinfecting equipment, washing your hands, and wearing a face mask in the shower. Wait. What was that last one?

It's best to avoid the showers if possible, since you can't get masks wet — otherwise they lose their efficacy. If you need to shower at the gym, shower as quickly as possible and only remove your mask when your face and head is going to get wet.

There doesn't appear to be any mention of wearing face masks in the shower on the CDC website. The government health agency recommends: "Be prepared to not use the locker room in order to reduce the risk of being in close proximity to others in a small space. Arrive in work-out clothes and shower at home to avoid using shared locker room and bathrooms."

No. I'm pretty sure its because you suck.

The California GOP responded on Twitter.

"The highest poverty rate in the nation, the largest number of homeless, some of the highest gas prices, unemployment checks going to death row inmates, and up to $31 billion in unemployment fraud," wrote the California Republicans. "The recall is gaining momentum because of your failed leadership."

Osterholm doom and glooming again - according to him we're fucked here in MN.

Experts urge caution as 15 states see uptick in COVID-19 infections

Even with the race to vaccinate as many Americans as possible accelerating, some experts are warning that if Americans don't also follow proper safety and mitigation measures the U.S. could see a COVID-19 resurgence.

Although the country's national daily case average continues to fall -- about 32.5% over the last month -- nearly a third of all states have seen their average number of cases rise at least 10%.

Those 15 states are: Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon and West Virginia, according to an ABC News analysis of state data compiled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Several states -- Delaware, Idaho, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon and West Virginia -- have seen their case averages increase by at least 25% in the last week.

"Minnesota, I think, is really a harbinger of things to come. We're loosening up all the restrictions we've had, and in some ways creating a perfect storm moment for virus transmission, whether it's a variant or not," Michael Osterholm, an epidemiologist and head of the University of Minnesota's Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, told ABC News' "World News Tonight" on Wednesday.

This thread marks the time that Sleepy rekindled with his nut sack and became a man, once again

Im glad, he can hate me all he wants, and put me on ignore, one of the main reasons he hated me was because he was a lib and I wasnt - I became a libertarian in 2009  before it was cool, and before Ron Paul retired.

Funny how all things Dr. Paul warned us about have come to pass, or are extremely close to pass.

Guy still clinging to the cat 5 hurricane fear

Osterholm made his prediction of a cat 5 hurricane coming in the next 6-14 weeks over 7 weeks ago, since then everything is down 80-90%, he actually said we were heading far higher than the earlier peak. Now he's screaming because cases are flat here, but positivity is stable - which means nothing is happening.

In another month when he is proven wrong he will say it again, there's obviously no consequences for him being wrong, the local and national media still puts him on.

They're going to be rather upset in 6-7 weeks when it becomes obvious that 30%(or more) of people wont get vaccinated, in early to mid may the vaccines will keep coming and the numbers who want a shot will dry up. This will be especially true in the red states, IN arkansas the gov already said that vaccine demand is dropping in the rural areas.

It should make for good viewing.

A Jack in the Box manager was repeatedly stabbed after asking a customer to wear a mask, Texas police say.

The manager told the customer to wear a mask or use the drive-thru of the fast food restaurant in League City on Wednesday night, but the man started filming and threatened legal action, police say.

When the customer appeared to be leaving, the manager turned away. Then the customer tackled the manager and stabbed him with a knife, police say. Other employees intervened and the man fled the area, police say.

The manager was leaning over a counter with stab wounds when officers arrived. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and later released.

On Thursday, police continued searching for the suspect in the stabbing. He was wanted on a charge of aggravated assault.

“It’s a very polarizing situation where some folks don’t believe that there should be masks and others do,” League City Police Chief Gary Ratliff said at a news conference. “I would ask that people respect the policies that have been put in place by these local businesses and any businesses around. A lot of these people...have had personal events with loved ones that have died and passed away as a result of COVID as have some of our officers.”
