Most of the rain is out ahead of the storm, the rains in vegas yesterday were not directly from hilary but associated with the same moisture flow pattern that is steering her. The bottom line is that 2-3 days ago they said vegas could get a yrs worth of rain in a couple days, it now appears that was way, way off and they'll instead get a decent rainfall but no disaster. I have no doubt there will be significant flooding in some of the desert areas(where few live) east of SD and LA but as usual it's exaggerated by the media to garner attention.
