I just woke up and am seeing that las vegas received record rainfall yesterday, the grand total was a whopping 1/4 of an inch. Now they say LV will receive less than 1 inch total. :laugh

What a flop - palm springs had one hundreth of an inch.

Doesn’t matter if it pours or doesn’t to me, but here is a live cam of Las vegas

that is more then a 1/4 inch pal...

That was yesterday(ending at midnight), it's still raining and will be in todays total, which apparently will be less than an inch. I think they can handle that - fish can chime in on that if he wants.

Yesterday?   The storm was still down in cano Lucas Mexico yesterday.  I am sure they didn’t get much rain yesterday LOL.    They got even lesson Thursday and Friday, LOL....

today is the day storm was Suppossed to arrive, who cares how much rain they got previous to today?     Yes you are correct i am sure they can handle an inch of rain in a 24 hour span....vegas has been known to flood when they get an inch in an hour, but shit rain is rare out there so they can handle an inch in 24 hours...

.............its been a light rain/drizzle here last 13 hours, gotta believe over an inch so far, with much more coming.

Live in the highlands and also about as close to LA as the crow flies as anyone in vegas metro area , so may be getting up to 2x more rain than say the airport,

Most of the rain is out ahead of the storm, the rains in vegas yesterday were not directly from hilary but associated with the same moisture flow pattern that is steering her.

The bottom line is that 2-3 days ago they said vegas could get a yrs worth of rain in a couple days, it now appears that was way, way off and they'll instead get a decent rainfall but no disaster. I have no doubt there will be significant flooding in some of the desert areas(where few live) east of SD and LA but as usual it's exaggerated by the media to garner attention.

The storm should officially reach CA in roughly 12 hrs and will be long gone in another 6-8 after that.
