MadTiger
It's very much a fiasco since impeachment is being used to cover for Biden and other Dems. Biden was on tape making a pure quid pro quo demand. Furthermore, we are not beholden to just give aid, and have a right to make sure we are helping friendly countries. Was a legit request--- not him asking for them to make up anything and/or create smears, because then THAT would be a problem. But trying to limit a President's legitimate power?? NahhhI see your points. I will woodshed on it.

Machiavelli
I see your points. I will woodshed on it. And just to be clear, I was fully in support of Obama's powers as President as well. Bush's, Clinton's etc. Our Founders had a specific reason why they wanted Presidents to have a certain latitude when dealing with foreign govts. Granted, being President shouldn't make one completely invincible or even God-like in total, absolute power, but when you are the "Leader of the Free World," you are certainly the most powerful person on the planet for a reason. Silly attempts to curb such should be flatly rejected and disregarded. We need seriousness in Govt from all sides.
Machiavelli
Just in the way the power brokers on the left hate Bernie tells you all you need to know about the left. This. With all that said, though, Bernie Sanders will stand a great chance at being elected President of the United States. IF he can curb down some of the ultra-radicalism and outline more clearly just how we can actually implement his objectives, Moderates and even some Christians will flock to him. Machiavelli
Iowa and NH will most certainly go to Bernie. Nevada perhaps as well. If he's 3-0 leading into Super Tuesday, he's running away with it..

mikeman
The ratings are in for Tuesdays start of WW111, both Tucker and Hannity had their highest ratings in history - an astonishing 5.7million each, Cnn eeked out high 2's, and MSNBC managed about 3,4 million for rachel. Of course, if in a major breaking news situation, your go to trusted source was msnbc, you were fed outright lies - when they reported that 30 americans had been killed, even then they weren't just lies, but the enemies lies. I wonder who that played with the people who watched them?

Machiavelli
Curious why you think Iowa will go to Bernie...I haven’t followed much lately but Iowa polls looks tight at the top. Iowans typically go with clarity of vision. Furthermore, Americans respond to not only Bold vision, but a likelihood of it being enacted. Bernie checks both boxes without coming off as Ron Paul/Ross Perot/Ralph Nader. He sometimes goes a bit far, but knows when/how to dial it back. Just needs a bit more tinkering and he can take everything. It's time for Republicans to prepare as if Bernie and his stark contrast to President Trump will be opposing him this Fall. mikeman
Trump beating all of them in pretty much every swing state, he's crushing all of them in GA(poll today), up by 14+, he only won there by 4-5 last time. other recent's have him winning in AZ, FL, IA, NC, close even in deep blue VA. If Bernie gets it, and he certainly could, trump will tear him apart with his not liberal but communist policies. it will be interesting to see how the clinton and obama camp reacts if bernie starts pulling away? They both hate him. We would have a situation where the republican candidate (trump) is not really a republican, and the democrat candidate (Sanders) isn't even a dem in name, he's officially a independent socialist. Machiavelli
And what does Bernie offer that is exactly the same as Trump?: Bold vision............and a way to implement it. Now, Republicans can and will distort and negatively amplify Bernie, but he is the Dems best hope, despite that risk. As the upside for them is massive---especially with his ability to inspire the masses. So while there is a chance--or even good chance--that President Trump wipes the floor with Bernie Ronald Reagan style, it's also the precise action Dems need to take in selecting their nominee since the Bold vision angle is the one worth playing. Draw the stark contrast and trust that they can get more people seeing their view over Trump's. It's their best hope--even if it's risky. I would compare it to Nixon/ Mcgovern, the dem party was raging mad about the vietnam war/protests, etc, and lurched left. The next time they put up a very moderate man(Carter)) by comparison and beat a weakened Ford. They put up Bernie and it'll be a similar story in the swing states.
