Is it expensive to rent in New Orleans?

New Orleans is the #75 most expensive large city in the U.S., with a median rent of $1,169. Citywide, the median rent currently stands at $1,018 for a 1-bedroom apartment and $1,208 for a 2-bedroom. Across all bedroom sizes (ie, the entire rental market), the median rent is $1,169.

Not a lot of high salary jobs down there.  Besides that, it’s one of the highest crime cities.

Very polarizing city, either you love it or hate it.  The summers suck with the heat and humidity.

Just now, Jimmy Hoffa said:

That should change (hopefully) when they finish upgrading Harrah's into Caesars New Orleans.

that was already in process when i was there a couple months ago, won't matter, that's actually a great feature to get drinks at the machine.  once you get one you can push the button right away instead of waiting for the waitress again.

it was so weird seeing that collapsed hard rock casino in new orleans back in 2019, and even weirder that they just totally gave up on it now

New Orleans suddenly cracking down on alcohol?

no, quite the opposite, you order a drink for free (or pay if you don't have players card) right on the machine

you'd think a place like new orleans would bring them quicker... heck i was in harvey la, and tunica, biloxi, and gulfport, all brought drinks much quicker
