They have plenty of time to figure it out themselves. If they are violent they can get you while you're busy with the tent. Just drop it off, maybe talk a little then leave. Fish, great idea with the dog food. I've done that a few times and the homeless person with the dog loved it. So WVU is the Appalachian trail hike with me,you and Ted still on? HaHa!
