The one in second to last (who was still a lot better than the one in last) was one of the reasons we ended up in the Civil War. So we probably have a lot to look forward too. With that said, liberals have sold out to the Social Justice Movement, thus reigniting the culture wars, and maybe even taking them into overdrive. In a scenario like this, a person with no shame like Trump was perfect to rise to power. However, I still believe that most people are some form of libertarian and shift from the right to left based on the issue, but there are just industries creating a hyper-polarized environment that we end up choosing sides.......like if each side was our fave sports team. So naturally they voted for Trump because he is on the TV. But only because Arnold Schwarzenegger was past his prime and not an option.
