Russian propaganda publications and Telegram channels are actively spreading a fake story claiming that Hamas militants are fighting against the Israeli army with weapons from Ukraine. It is stated that Israeli soldiers near Ashkelon arrested militants who allegedly had either Ukrainian RPG-7 anti-tank grenade launchers or grenades for them (the details of the "legend" were apparently not well-coordinated by propagandists). The weapons allegedly had markings from a "Ukrainian unit from Mukachevo in Zakarpattia region. We have not found this information in the Israeli mass media. The M113 armored personnel carrier in which they were traveling was hit, and they themselves, under fire, were forced to abandon their intentions to attack and took up a perimeter defense.
