plommer
Anybody know what other site spankie frequents?F0ckers mind is like an encyclopedia, I'm sure he could help, if he's around that is. The other suggestion would be to ask here if you can't find the answer. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.

MonkeyF0cker
What are you getting for MH/s, plom?
plommer
What are you getting for MH/s, plom? At the moment NiceHash miner isn't even mining ethereum, its mining other coins. I'm getting 795 Sols/s on Equihash on three 6GB GTX 1060's. Stock settings. I tried overclocking the GPU RAM on the cards and it made little difference performance wise. Try ETH with Claymore once and see what you get for MH/s. You're running a little hotter than I am. You can probably optimize a bit. Try installing MSI Afterburner (all of the Pascal OC apps work on any brand of the Nvidia Pascal cards), Unlink power and temp limits, set power limit to 60, temp limit to 83, core clock to 0, memory clock to 750, and setup a custom fan speed profile. I have my fan profile set to 0 up to 50C, 40% at 50C, and 100% at 68C. I have six 1060's running at an average around 138 MH/s. So, about 23 MH/s per card. The temps are around 55C-62C. MonkeyF0cker
Afterburner seems to be the most stable OC app for the Pascals that I've found.
MonkeyF0cker
You can type in the values in Afterburner by (double) clicking on the numbers on the right. It's a lot easier than using the sliders.

plommer
So I overclocked the settings as recommended. Now each card is getting ~ 21 MH/s - on Nicehash, haven't setup Claymore as it looks like I downloaded the AMD version somehow.
MonkeyF0cker
Is that better than what you were getting? If you can, try to increase the memory clock slightly until it becomes unstable. Then dial it back to the highest point were it was stable. That will give you your best performance.

MonkeyF0cker
Ok. Good. You might still be able to get a little more out of them.
MonkeyF0cker
Click on the little Windows icon on the left side of Afterburner to save the settings on reboot. If you crash the system, you might lose the startup settings though. So, save them into a profile as well and make sure you load them again if necessary. joeybagadonuts
Thanks for the tips, MF! You've always been willing to help others on the forums. Still owe you for the intro to Vegas Dave (different one than the social media star who fake bets) back in 2006 or so.
