WVU
I doubt it, most republicans represent districts that have high numbers of NRA supporters, not to mention almost no one has changed their opinions about guns. there might be small changes to the way rifles are bought, but there is zero chance they will be banned, none! Are you calling boat a "no one" ? Many have changed their mind recently and he is proof
mikeman
Are you calling boat a "no one" ? Many have changed their mind recently and he is proofYour question was very general, do not assume that means people want to ban ownership of assault rifles, you asked "should laws be stricter", and people say truthfully "yea, I dont think crazy 18 year olds should be able to buy an AR-15", that's a far cry from vast support for radical changes. LCD
LCD not sure why you are saying all that to me. I don't disagree that is happening. The murders were real and if that is the Republican narrative then they will go down with it. No one who isn't insane will believe that narrativeWelcome to America. Gun issues will bury the GOP even more than Trump has.2 weeks from now it'll be forgotten, just like the vegas massacre, it sounds like you've been watching too much cable news recently, do not assume what you see there(on either side) is real life. What happened to the porter thing, what happened to the "memo" controversy, what happens to every phony "scandal" that's here one week and gone the next. Trump said he'd favor raising the legal age to buy assault weapons to 21, along with stricter background checks(focusing on mental health), also some action on bump stocks. There's your " stricter" laws, satisfied?

mikeman
I see there's a church in PA that's asking parishioners to bring their assault weapons to services, so that they may be blessed in order to sanctify the "rod of iron that will protect the family". That may be taking things a tad far, but i admire their passion.

MonkeyF0cker
Has technology has advanced a semi-automatic rifle is now in many regards equivalent or very close to equivalent to a fully automatic rifle which unless you have a special Series 3 license which monkey does not possess you are unable to own within this country and light of these changes we need to make stricter laws upon the semi-automatic rifles that are currently legal in the accessories manufactured and sold for themLOL. AR-15's have been on the market for 60 years. Yes, it's the guns that changed. The more you talk, the more you prove how uninformed you really are. Jimmy Hoffa
I think your geographic proximity to the shooting has more strongly sensitized you to this issue WVU. In other parts of the country while tragic, it's just another school shooting. This is sadly part of the price we pay for a free society. If guns were outlawed tomorrow we would still have this issue 100 years from now. More people will be killed by cars by this time tomorrow than were killed in the school shooting, yet where is the outcry to ban cars? Other than making it harder for nut jobs to purchase weapons, there is little that we can do to stop this tragic phenomenon. Arming school personnel isn't a bad idea but there is no need to make public how few or how many school staff have guns, let the potential shooters wonder just how many staff are armed. No need to disclose how many are or aren't. Some flights have 3 sky marshalls and some have 0, the amount isn't disclosed. Any way you slice it, restricting guns punishes the many for the sins of the few...

It is all propaganda meant for petrified little halfwits who would shove their daughter in front of them to take a bullet for them.you love bringing up Columbine. It may not have prevented that per se, but it might have prevented Vegas, Orlando and now Parkland. So your stance is if it doesn't completely eliminate shootings then it isn't worth doing? OK, but you are still a diknose.

mikeman
17 dead kids is not propaganda, diknose (monkey)I hate to break it to you, but it's not that big a story, vegas was what, last oct, and that TX one came a few weeks later, it's one of many. There were little kids killed in that TX one by the way, their lives are just as important as most of the fat, retarded, bald lesbians, etc, i've seen on TV.
