Wednesday 8/16/17

Going with a three bagger today. Need to reverse the slide:

Race 1

$20 win #8 Bishop's Castle 8-1

$2 exbx 8/1,5

Jumping again. Wyatt caught my eye about four years ago here, when he ran second, twice, at big prices. That was with a jumper, competing on the flat. I'm always interested in trainers that can move horses to and from the jumps with success, there's usually good prices with those that can. Plus, he's a former assistant to the legendary Tom Voss, one of my all time faves. PS- Sheppard's in this one at a big price(#5), but that horse has only won once in its career, and that was on dirt. Tough to back. If he beats me, gotta tip the cap to the Hall of Famer.

Race 4

$20 win #7 Askfor Forgiveness 12-1

Horse hasn't done much in the year that Domino has had it, but it broke its Maiden last year over this course, Domino is strong off these longer layoffs here, and Jose Ortiz jumps on for the first time.

Race 8

$20 win #1 Rooftop View 20-1

$5 exbx 1-7

$1 exbx 1/ALL

Lauer's horses always show up running here, in very limited starts. Luckily, the bettors haven't caught on so the prices are usually good. This horse ran great here last year, twice, in Allowance company. Now it's dropping into a state bred claiming race, after competing against open claimers at Belterra, of all places. No way will it get bet off that move, even though it's a drop. Ran a good second to #7 Irish Prayer here last year, hopefully we turn the tables today. Get on board now before the sharpies figure this guy out.

Hope its an omen as I bet and keyed this horse at Belterra Park today....I'll be happy to drive back over to cash.
