American middle to lower class parents dont teach their kids to respect anymore. I hardly ever got in trouble in school growing up. But if I did, it was always my fault and my parents would back the teacher. Now days, its completely different. Parents will defend their kids to the death. No matter how disrespectful they are. Ive been fortunate to be out of the traditional public school system for the past 7 years. It's somewhat tolerable in charter and private schools. But overall, society is in decay in the US. No doubt about it. So, to quote the famous question of Lenin, "What is to be done?" Kick them out? Where do they go? Repair and reform them? Probably long past that ever happening? I don't see a solution. Other than making changes that make kids want to be in school, to look forward to going every day. I taught university business courses at a college for a few years between 2010 and 13 in BC. A nation once built on hard work, is now lazy at it's core. There is a reason why nations are passing us in education. Those kids are hungry. They want a better life. You own your own business you are on the clock always. There are some good things but you work your ass off. You can't clock out. 24/7. Wish I was a multi millionaire like some others here.
