CNN: Why do gamblers think Donald Trump has such a good chance of winning?.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/04/politics/betting-markets-trump-biden-bovada-betfair/index.html

Excellent article.   This was the most relevant, and accurate  paragraph in it.  What's interesting is that Predict It is the one place still accurately reflecting the polls:  I think there's a general perception among the sportsbook bettors that The Idiot will fix the election, and that's why the money's showing up.

Cillizza: There's very little actual evidence -- polling, money etc. -- that suggests Trump is much more likely to beat Biden than he was a month ago. But the odds are basically 50-50. What gives?

A new poll out in TX showing a close race (trump +2), you might say wow, that's close for TX, trumps in trouble. Except they over sampled Dems, like they do in almost every poll., they sampled about 2% more dems than repubs, does anyone really believe there are more dems than republicans in TX? If there were they wouldn't have a republican gov, senators, reps, etc.

If you bet on this, dont look at polling, polling is no longer about gauging public opinion, it's about manipulating it.

No matter what happens, in the medium and long term, the country will be fine.

Even if Joe gets elected, the Dem party is already bleeding to death. They cannot recover from their insane policies they have tied themselves to. there's no way to backtrack - the entire party is now a special interest group for wimmen and trannies. Whatever votes they get from pandering to women in the near term, they will lose far more among disgusted men in the coming years. Latino, black and gay men will leave the dem party in huge numbers. They are starting to wake up to this, but there will be a lag of about 10 years.

This fall, a lot of Dem votes are really just votes against Trump, from people who are sick of the media circus. But after hes gone, good luck retaining all those those voters. Trump forced the Dems so far left that those anti-Trump swing votes will feel very good about voting for a guy like Crenshaw (or similar) in 2024. The future is bright.
