No, they dont run unless the reactor is operating, it's my understanding the last reactor is being put into shutdown mode, so the reactor will just be sitting there(with the control rods inserted, etc), once that happens the plant will be just sitting there - as it is during refueling outages. Another key piece of equipment is the steam generator - which has thousands of tubes designed to transfer heat from the reactor loop to the turbine loop. that's irreparable too. I don't trust soldiers overrunning the place to shut it down correctly. If the Ukranians can't defend it they should shut it down and secure it before something very ugly happens there.
